About Lois Figueroa, LPC

It is my belief that all people are born precious and free. Along the way, life presents challenges that could cause an individual to feel unfulfilled, empty, and that something is missing. I’m here to help you heal and uncover issues that make you feel stuck. I understand that each person is the driver of their own life and has within them the strength to overcome obstacles. I encourage introspection and observation of behavior, rather than make judgement or engage in negative self- criticism. I believe that therapy can be transformative, changing lives.
My clinical experience includes employee assistance, substance abuse and addiction, PTSD, bi-polar disorder, sexual trauma, anxiety and depression. I provide an interactive therapeutic style for individuals, couples, families, children and adolescences. I have special interest in working people that have experienced work-related issues, including stress and burnout. I integrate various methodologies, and techniques to offer a personalized client centered approach. While utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, spirituality, motivational interviewing, stages of change with solution focused strategies inclusive of compassion and understanding.
I am a licensed professional counselor. I completed my graduate studies at New York University, and a PhD from Walden University. Throughout my work experience, I have been fortunate to work with many individuals from an array of backgrounds that have enhanced my experience in providing clinical services. I welcome the opportunity to support you in your goals.
